3. Hvorfor har man kosmetiske sikkerhetskontroller bare for å plage folk?

Now we're back at the part you shouldn't read.

LaTeX editors

This is an comparison of LaTeX editors for Windows. Since thi is for my own amusement I'll probably just pick an editor and use it until I find something lacking. At wich point I'll try a new one. Hopefully this will help me choose one über-editor. All this equal I'll prefer free (liberty) software, or lacking that, free (gratis) software. But come to think of it, I don't think it matters that much to me.

Also, some of this has previously been mentioned in posts by me, ohloh and Antero Neves.
  • TeXnicCenter -- Editor with Norwegian spell checker and primitive file search. But lacks support for UTF-8.
  • LEd -- Editor with block collapse. But lacks support for UTF-8.
  • WinShell -- Sweet! An editor that handles UTF-8 properly. As long as you remember to change a setting in the options dialogue, that is.
Ok, seems Winedt also has unicode support these days, who else:

So what things should an editor have?
  1. UTF-8,
  2. Norwegian spell checker,
  3. multiple levels of spell checking
  4. block collapse.
